What are the driving licence requirements?
All vehicles can be driven with a class B driving licence. Independent of the age, the driver must have been in possession of a valid B driving licence for at least six (6) months. This applies to all drivers who drive the vehicle during the rental period.
Which countries can the vehicle be driven in?
Travelling within the member states of the European Union, the European Free Trade Association, the United Kingdom and Andorra is permitted within the framework of the rental of the vehicle, unless otherwise provided in the rental agreement. This also applies to travel to Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Monaco, North Macedonia, San Marino and Serbia. When travelling to countries not listed, the lessee must obtain the prior written consent of the lessor.
Is there a kilometre limit?
The limit of free kilometres for each day is 350 km. The additional kilometres will be charged to the lessee after return of the vehicle at a rate of €0.30/km.
Is smoking permitted in the vehicle?
Smoking is strictly prohibited in any rental vehicle. If the ban on smoking is not observed in the rented vehicle, €500 will be charged to compensate for nuisance and for professional cleaning of traces of smoke.
Can the vehicles be used for moving purposes?
No, it is not permitted to use the vehicles for removal purposes, except for the booking category Standard Class Transporter (vehicle: Peugeot Boxer Utility).
Reservation, Payment and Cancellation
How can a vehicle be booked?
Reservations can be made online, by telephone or by e-mail. In the case of a telephone or e-mail booking, the lessee first receives an offer by e-mail. The customer can accept this offer up to the date specified on the offer.
Is a deposit and a security deposit required?
A deposit in the amount of €50 is payable upon conclusion of the contract by the lessee to the lessor. The balance must be paid no later than seven (7) days before the start of the rental. A deposit is not required, but an excess (per damage) of €500 applies to the fully comprehensive insurance for the vehicle.
What are the cancellation conditions?
In the event of cancellation before the start of the rental period, the lessee is obliged to pay compensation, considering the time of cancellation, from the total price. The cancellation fees also apply to cancellations of selected additional services.

Handover and return
Who is authorised to pick up the vehicle?
The vehicle will only be handed over to the person to whom the booking is made (exception: contact person). If the vehicle is collected by a third person, this must be agreed in writing between both parties (lessee/lessor). The booking confirmation must be presented on handover.

Where can the lessee pick up the vehicle and how does its return process work?
The handover and return of the rental vehicle occurs at the location of the selected rental station:

The vehicle can be collected on the first rental day and only by appointment. No vehicle instruction is possible for pick ups outside office hours (Office hours: 09:00 to 17:00 on working days).
Can the rental period of the vehicle be extended?
An extension of the rental period is only possible with the express written consent of the lessor. Further use after the end of the rental period does not lead to an extension of the rental contract. The lessor is entitled to require a usage fee equal to the agreed rental price for the retention period exceeding the contract period. In addition, the lessor can assert claims for damages against the lessee.
Can the vehicle be returned to another rental station?
No, the vehicle is picked up and returned at the same rental station.
Insurance, Damage or Breakdown
Is the lessee insured in the event of an accident or damage?
The rental price includes a fully comprehensive insurance with an excess of €500 for the vehicle. The excess applies per damage. The insurance does not cover interior and tyre damages, windscreen and vehicle underfloor damage as well as any damage resulting from incorrect fueling (fuel and oil tank), improper usage or the loss of keys. The costs incurred in this respect must be borne in full by the lessee.
In the event of an accident or breakdown (not) caused by the lessee, where further travel is not possible, the lessor reserves the right either to have the vehicle repaired within a reasonable period or replaced with an equivalent or higher-value vehicle.
If not self-inflicted: If it is not possible to repair or replace the vehicle within a reasonable period, the lessee is entitled to a refund for the remaining rental days. Additionally, the lessor will cover the costs for the return transportation of the lessee and his companions in this case. The coverage of return transportation costs expressly applies only to persons. If the option offered by the lessor for the return transportation is rejected, this must be organised and paid for by the lessee.
If (partial) self-inflicted: Any costs for repairs, replacement and return of the vehicle that are not covered by insurance must be borne by the lessee. Additionally, the lessee is responsible for the costs of his own return transportation and those of any companions. There is no entitlement to a refund for the remaining rental days.
What should the lessee do in the event of an accident, a breakdown, damage or theft?
In the event of an accident, a breakdown, damage or theft, the lessee must contact the lessor immediately.

The lessor informs the lessee about the next steps and leads him to a partner garage to repair the vehicle. The lessee is not entitled to make repairs or modifications to the vehicle without the express written consent of the lessor himself. In the event of theft, fire, damage caused by game or accident, the lessee is obliged to inform the local police. If the incident is not reported to the police, the lessee is liable for the resulting costs. The lessee is also obliged to contact the lessor in this respect.
Before the start of the rental period
How does the toll registration for the vehicle work abroad? In which countries is a toll sticker (vignette) needed?
Please note that the lessee is responsible informing himself about the applicable toll systems in the countries travelling through. If prior registration of the vehicle for toll systems is required, the lessee can request the license plate number and additional vehicle details from the lessor in advance.
The vignette system differs from distance-based tolls. In the following EU countries, a vignette is required for the use of certain roads, particularly highways: Switzerland (bookable as an additional option), Austria, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia, etc.
Which stickers (vignettes) are included in the vehicle?
Each vehicle is equipped with a German environmental sticker ‘Umweltplakette’ and the French Crit’Air vignette. When booking, it is the responsibility of the lessee to independently check the sticker requirements of the visiting countries. If prior registration of the vehicle for additional stickers is required, the lessee can request the license plate number and additional vehicle details from the lessor in advance.
