On Wednesday, 30 May 2018, Voyages Emile Weber was awarded for its eMobility programme "empoweringMobility" by the Nova Naturstroum fund.

The electrification of the fleet started back in 2009 and consists of a number of projects. Some have already been implemented, others will be launched in the coming months:

- 2009: Luxembourg's first double-articulated hybrid bus;

- 2015: UREVO project (For "Urban Revolution"): Launch of three double articulated plug-in hybrid buses- a world first at the time!

- 2015: Service cars for driver change at terminal stops;

- 2015: Introduction of the first electric taxis (WEBTAXI);

- 2018: First electric citizen bus in Luxembourg runs for the municipality of Mamer ("Ruffbus Mamer");

- February 2018: Launch of the first fully electrified RGTR line (line 305 Bettembourg-Dudelange).

Other initiatives are being planned for the coming weeks. Three of them can already be mentioned:

- End of May 2018: introduction of new electric buses on RGTR line 290 (Voyages Ecker);

- July 2018: opening of a new depot for electric vehicles in Bissen;

- Early 2019: introduction of the first MAN Lion's City Electric buses.
